Yeah Obama Won, But He Can’t Help You With This!!!!!!

November 7, 2012 in Branding, MAGAZINE, NBTV, Network Marketing Tips, Social Media

If you see this often enough, you’re bound to be sick to your stomach.

In this short video, Keril and I backtrack to about 3 years ago, when I would always call and ask him to transfer 100 bucks into my account so those NSF Fees wouldn’t hit. I was lucky and fortunate to have a friend that I could rely on who had the capabilities and means to help me during those tough times.

At some point, you hit the threshold and can’t take it anymore, and then you start looking for other options.

One of those options has been starting my very own online business. Like you, I needed to start my own business and I desperately needed it to work. I had no other options– it was either that, or pretty much lose everything I’ve worked for over the previous seven years.

As much as I needed this to work, I didn’t have a clue on how to get started. I’ve heard about PPC CCP, OPD, GDS and all these other acronyms that made absolutely no sense to me. I heard about article marketing, video marketing, customer conversions, affiliate marketing, joint-ventures, “before, during and after units,” keyword research, SEO. Imagine how overwhelmed I was. The sad thing about this whole story is that I didn’t even know what service or product I wanted to provide. At this point, you can see I’m getting pissed off and thinking about quitting even before getting started.

I’m here to tell you that you are not alone. How you feel right now, is just how I felt 3 years ago. So here’s the deal, the videos that Keril and I have put together are designed for that feeling. It doesn’t matter whether you’re just getting started, had your online business for a while and are not getting the results you want, or you have been toying around with the idea of starting. Whatever part of the spectrum you’re on, just know that it’s possible to gain the success you want once you get the clarity you need to create your very own online business.

Here’s the exciting part, your business can be anything you want–anything that’s exciting to you! You just have to want to do it. The Internet can provide you with all of the material desires, lifestyle desires, and opportunity you’ve been wanting once you understand and embrace the principles of the online business world.

Click on the link and watch the video. Keril and I are going to have an open conversation with you, so you can determine if an online business is something that you can take advantage of. This video will only be up for a limited time. Watch now!

Can Facebook Give Your Business A Slap (Like The Google Slap?)

February 7, 2012 in MAGAZINE, Network Marketing Tips, Social Media

            Hi Keril

Your account has been disabled because you violated our advertising guidelines repeatedly. Despite being warned multiple times about this issue.  Facebook will not tolerate behavior (Look how facebook is talking to me here, who do they think they are?) that users may find annoying or abusive (Me, abusive?), or that violates our terms of use or advertising guidelines. Failure to adhere to these warnings has resulted in a permanent loss of your account.

We will not be able to reactivate your account nor will we be able to recover any content within that account. You will also not be permitted to create a new account to restart your Facebook advertising. This decision is final (PLEEASSSEEEEEE Facebook!!!  Give me one more chance………) Thanked you for our understanding.  (No, I don’t understand, come back here and explain it to me Facebook ) LOL

Now, this was an extremely sad day for us because Facebook is a huge traffic and lead source for our business. But, this was a blessing in disguise because if this wouldn’t have happened, we would have still been spending a lot of our resources managing our ads campaigns. In our master mind group, we happened to mention our dilemma to the group members and they laughed. Our friend Thomas said, “Welcome to the club of banned account”.  I said, “I’m glad to be a part of this exclusive club.” :)  But I still need some Facebook traffic in my life.  I need a fix ASAP.  So Thomas tells us about a service call AdNeedle that can do all of your ads for you.

All you need to do is put together the copy, the image and where you want your ads to point.  Now, we have a service that can provide us all the stats, and manage all of our campaigns for us. We now can take the time we use to spend managing ads to focus more on some revenue driven activities. We are still testing out the service, but I’m confident it’s going to work extremely well for us.  Thought I’ll share with you because you might be able to benefit from this as well, especially if your accounts have been banned.

You’re next. Have you ever consider using an ad management company before for your business and if so, which one? What are your experiences with them and why would you recommend them to people? Also share your account shut down stories in the comment section, would love to hear about them and what you did to overcome that roadblock.

                  Marketing Is Not A Department

June 22, 2011 in Social Media

If you like the post, don’t forget to share and leave your comments

Marketing is not a department that puts together your campaigns from time to time for a product launch or a new service. As a business owner or someone looking to start their own venture, it’s important for you to realize that every aspect of your business can and should be marketed. The product-development phase, the testing phases, the content-creation phase, the outsourcing phase, the attracting-customer phases. I mean everything.

You can use this to your advantage in a way that no large corporation can. Being able to bring your day-to-day tasks to your audience in a way that’s entertaining and educational can do so much for your brand and for you.

If you are working on a product, how can you market the process of working on that product? You could easily take a minute to shoot a quick video that explains what you’ve been working on and some of the challenges you faced and how you were able to resolve them. Get creative guys! Market every single thing you do even if you think it’s small or not interesting. That little thing might be something that helps resolve a huge problem for someone else. Once you do that a couple of times, people will start to look to you for more solutions to their problems. Like David Heinemeier would say, “you can’t out spend the big corporations, but you sure can out teach them”.

So use your everyday tasks and problems you’ve solved to teach something of value which is one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to market your brand and your company.

It’s been real my friend, talk soon
P.S. “I command you to share” Okay, maybe not command, but if you like the post it would be nice if you shared it. Is that better? Leave me your comments

How ineffective communication skills can impacting your bottom line

January 18, 2011 in Social Media

The average business owner doesn’t realize the impact of ineffective communication skills on their bottom line. This is why a high percentage don’t invest in developing this vital skill “Communication”. Let me ask you this question, what if I put you in-front of 100 of your ideal buyers? Would you be able to convert 10-20 percent of them into customers through effective communication?

“A good conversation never sounds like a speech, but a good speech always sounds like a good conversation”, Mark Sanborn. How true is this statement? Ineffective communication can impact every aspect of life especially your business. That’s why I wanted to discuss the importance of this topic today. Many of our readers are entrepreneurs who rely on effective communication to grow their businesses. Effective communication provokes thoughts, feelings and actions within your audience. Check out this example on how not to communicate:

If you are a sales professional and your closing ratio is not where you would like it to be, you need to take a look at how effectively or ineffectively you are communicating with your audience. The problem with communication is often the illusion that is being accomplished. “The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously”, Hubert Horatio Humphrey.

To become an affective communicator, your main focus should be your audience. Too many times, a communicator focuses only on his or her image while speaking, or only on the message – “am I saying this the same way I practiced it?” Your goal is to be 100% focused on the audience. Some communicators fail to convince their audience because they do not connect with them in ways that provoke thoughts, feelings and actions. The best way to learn what not to do when communicating is to watch for what not to do. When attending events, we always pay close attention to speakers in order to see what they are doing effectively and what they are not doing ineffectively. What we have come to notice is that the most effective communicators are very entertaining. They use the art of entertainment to deliver the science, science being the information.

An ineffective communication stems from not having the skill-set. Often time, the messages of ineffective communicators are non-specific which then leaves the audience to try and figure out what they’re were trying to say. Always practice to make your communication like a conversation rather than a speech and see how that impacts your business.

We would love to hear your ideas on what makes ineffective communications. Take some time to reflect on this. We anxiously wait to see you all at the pinnacle of your success.

What is the business mirror test syndrome and how could it be effecting your business?

January 11, 2011 in Social Media

What is the business mirror test syndrome and how could it be effecting your business?. We live our lives surrounded by mirrors; the only reflections we see are the ones of ourselves. We see our feelings, our wants, what people think “about us”, how we come across to others, whether we are going to get what we want or not, etc.

I love this quote from a famous actor, “Enough of me talking about myself; what do you think of me?” Everyone favorite topic of conversation is themselves. This is a prime example of the business mirror test syndrome. But a select few have figured out that instead of focusing on the mirrors, “themselves”, they’ve replaced those mirrors with windows that are now allowing them to see what other people want. This one fact has made each of these individuals the top producer in their respective industry– Chet Holmes, Tom Hopkins, Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy, Frank Kern, Marie Forleo — the list goes on.

You hear many leaders say, “Help enough people get what they want and you’ll have everything you want”, Zig Zigler. Most network marketers say this, but do they really practice it? Understanding the window instead of the mirror concept can help you become a better presenter, sales person, trainer, executive, and/or leader.

All top producers in every industry, including MLM, understand that their prospects are different and one presentation might not be as effective for one person as it may be for another. That’s why most top producers don’t suffer from the business mirror syndrome. Their presentation sounds like a conversation rather than a presentation. They make sure they understand their prospects’ needs and desires by asking the right questions beforehand and then crafting their presentation to effectively persuade their prospects to take action.

The mirror test presenters usually present on the money or how much money they’ve made and every other irrelevant fact about their opportunity. Most Network Marketers opportunity pitch is self-centered and as a result, most people don’t get involved because they just don’t see what’s in it for them. These mirror presentations might enroll one out of ten while the window presenters might enroll three out of ten. They suffer from the business mirror syndrome.

Becoming a persuasive and effective presenter requires you to have the proper tone and body language. You can use a word that could provoke a negative or positive reaction from a prospect because of your tone and body language. Your audience is paying more attention to the tone and body language than your words. Always remember that it’s never about you. You are just a messenger, remove yourself from the message and focus it on your prospects. The business mirror test syndrome, don’t watch your business fail just because you suffer from this!

I would love to get your feedback on this article, so please leave us your comments. We can’t wait to see you all at the pinnacle of your success. Share this post with those you would love to take to the top with you.

IT’S NOT MY FAULT THEY DON’T WANT TO BUY! IT’S THE ECONOMY’S FAULT!

December 30, 2010 in MAGAZINE, Social Media

Most of the time when we do webinars, which you can register for by clicking the link below, we get asked so many questions, such as, “How can I get more customers?”

Most Business owners don’t understand why they are working twice as hard as they did before and not even getting the same results. They don’t understand why customers aren’t flocking to their stores like before. So they do what most humans naturally do…blame it on something or someone! It’s “the economy” is the most over-used excuse I’ve heard. Well, it’s not the economy, but instead of harping on that point, Eric and I will start to move you towards a solution. Let’s find out exactly what your market wants. Here is a good list I got from the ultimate sales letter book by Dan Kennedy.

What keeps them awake at night?

What are they afraid of? Who are they angry at?

What are their top three daily frustrations?

What trends are occurring in their business or lives?

What do they secretly, ardently desire most?

Is there a built-in bias to the way they make decisions?
                                    (Example: engineers = exceptionally analytical)

Do they have their own languages?

Who else is selling something similar to them and how?

Who else has tried selling them something similar, and how has that effort failed?

Did you have an epiphany after reading these questions? Did you realize that you don’t know half this information? Do you want to learn techniques that will help your business explode in 2011? Then join our webinar! The link is listed below:
